Our keycaps are not compatible with backlighting. They can still be used with compatible Cherry MX keyboards, but the legends will not glow with the backlighting. However, our colored keys will have a faint glow when installed over LED backlighting since they are molded from colored plastic.
Colored keycaps are as follows in the example photo:
R4: Brown, Olive, White, Beige, Slate, Graphite, Charcoal, Black
R3: Purple, Lavender, Navy Blue, Royal Blue, Sky Blue, Mint, Green, Woodland
R2: Pink, Maroon, Red, Orange, Yellow

Any chance of a future keyboard design/option with a south-side LED (for side printed key caps)?
John Horvath Most likely not, if any changes are to be made to LED placement it will be a centralized LED.
This makes things very clear as I was about to buy a whole new set of keys, but need the back lighting.
However, I do see some of the keys are glowing with the black lettering - making it quite legible in the dark.
I think I will order a number of individual keys! Now, to figure out how to do that on this site... ;)
