How to turn on backlighting on your CODE Keyboard
For 104/105/87/88-Key CODE V3B Keyboards (Firmware 0.14+)
- Make sure SW5 is in the "off" position (Fn key Enabled)
(Make sure to unplug the keyboard when making changes to the dipswitch) - Use Fn(Menu)+F12 to toggle lights on/off. Fn+F11 will adjust the brightness setting.
For 104/105/87/88-Key CODE V2B Keyboards
- Unplug the keyboard.
- Enable SW6 on the DIP switch.
- Plug the keyboard back in.
- Use Fn(Menu)+F12 to toggle lights on/off. Fn+F11 will adjust the brightness setting.
The keyboard will save your lighting preferences even when unplugged.
It is possible to turn on the backlighting, then disable Fn (SW5 "on" for V3B) - (SW6 "off" for V2B) to regain the use of your Menu key if you do not need to frequently change backlighting settings.

A Windows driver would be helpful to also change the backlighting from Settings or Control Panel. (Of course, the dip switch would still need to be toggled.)
Thank you
SO if I want to use the application key as "Fn" key under Mac OS I can not use blacklit on the CODE keyboard?
If you don't plan on manipulating your backlight, you can turn DIP switch 6 on, set the backlight to a level you like, then unplug the keyboard and flip SW6 off again. That way you have backlight and the functionality of the Mac fn key as normal. Having switch 6 on changes the key from its normal functionality.
