    Hi,

I have heard of this issue with other keyboards as well, and it is something we are testing out and looking into.So far we do not know the cause.

Any news on this? I received a new v3 keyboard last week and it still doesn't seem to be fixed. One reason I chose the WASD v3 to use with my Mac is that the USB-C support would take away one more dongle. The Keyboardio Model 01 has worked with USB-C since December 2017, so I know it's possible.

Wow. Didn't know this until I received mine. This is very very annoying. Can we know if this can be fixed somehow in the future? (I do not intent to keep it if it will never work).

Also the cable provided doesn't fit in the cord slots of the keyboard. It's too thick. This is very uncool.

We have a replacement part in progress to correct the C to C issue, and expect it to be available in about 8 weeks.

We received reports that the cable routing on previous keyboards was too loose, and we overcompensated a bit. The cable securing tabs can be filed down if desired. You can also email us at info@wasdkeyboards.com and we can have a thinner cable made for you instead.

@Paige: thanks for your reply. I've already contacted support and they told me about the replacement part. I'm glad it will be fixed.
They also gave me a trick to make the thick cable fit in the channels and it worked (wasn't so easy though :D). So all good.

I have the same issue on a keyboard I just purchased.

When there is a replacement part, does that mean I will have to do surgery on my keyboard?

Will I have to trade my keyboard back in?

We have the replacement part in process, and the current estimate for their arrival is another few weeks. The replacement procedure is not difficult, but it will require opening up the keyboard case.

You will not have to send the keyboard back to us.

Hi there, same issue here. I was very stoked to receive my V3 at work today and I dropped everything to hook it up to my Macbook Pro 2019 with a USB-C to USB-C cable and got... nothing. Pretty bummed, I thought this would be the way to go right out of the box.

Paige, do you have any updates here on when we can get this sorted out?

Off on the hunt to see if I can get an adapter in the meantime I guess.. :\ Hope IT has one lying around otherwise I'll have to wait another day before I can try this thing out. ::Fingers Crossed::

Hi Zane, I'm sorry to hear the disappointment, I understand. We were expecting the part by now, but it looks like other concerns have taken precedence. The part is still in process, but we don't have a specific timeline for its completion. Tentative ETA is more like 6-8 weeks, if I had to guess. Check back here or email occasionally and we may have more info as time passes.

We have just gotten them in. If you email us we can either send one to you, or arrange to have you send your keyboard to us so we can do the replacement.

Hi - I also can't get my V3 Keyboard to connect using USB-C to USB-C to my MBP. Is there a way to get this to work?

Does anybody know if this issue is fixed? I am planning on getting one WASD keyboard to use it with my MBP, but I don't want dongles either. And I live in Mexico, so I would rather not go through the whole shipping for replacement ordeal.

We're in the process of transitioning to units that have it pre-installed. You can request in the order comments to have the USB C-C connector installed before we ship, if you like.

This feature request for c to c cable connections has been completed, all new keyboards have an updated port. If you have an older keyboard with the older (clear) c-port and would like this updated feature, please just email us and we can help you out.
