Will the aluminum cases fit a V1 keyboard? With Modifications?
AnsweredI have an OG V1 keyboard that I ordered in 2011 thats still, to this day, giving fantastic service. I'd love to swap it into one of those aluminum cases / chassis if possible. I don't mind doing a bit of light modification for the differences in the cables.
How difficult would it be to swap? Is it only a cable difference?

Hello Lynn,
I'm sorry but I don't believe it would be very easy, much more than a light modification. These aluminum cases are tailored to fit our V2/V3 boards exactly (near millimeter exact), the V1 is different in just about every way, from the internal components (the V1 has a fairly large daughterboard) to the plate, the cable exit, etc.
I'm not saying it's impossible but you'd have to spend quite a bit of time with a router to eat away that much aluminum. It's also possible the V1 plate extends the bounds of the case, or is so much larger that you'd only have a small amount of aluminum for the sides.
Thank you.
