    Hello Dan, 

    Unfortunately you cannot program the firmware without the physical keys present. If you can use software there are a lot of free remapping/macro apps that you can use that will allow this functionality.

    Thanks for the reply. 'Tis a shame.

    Maybe an open-sourcing of the firmware code would enable us all to customise these lovely keyboards more. What do you think?

    (It's unfortunate that your keyboards, which are the most customizable keyboards in terms of their physical design, have such limited firmware customizability. These things so naturally go hand-in-hand.)

    Hello Dan, 

    I fully agree with you, I wish our firmware was open source myself as I see that as the best possible path for product creation. Unfortunately as of right now it is not sadly. 

    I do know of a project that uses an inline hub for QMK firmware, it may be a possible solution: https://github.com/qmk/qmk_firmware/tree/master/keyboards/converter/usb_usb
