Unrecognized Device Error 43 in Windows 10
AnsweredI've had my WASD v3 Keyboard with Cherry MX Clear switches for around a year now and have had nothing but a pleasant experience overall.
Recently, a Microsoft Update was applied to the computer and sometime after that the keyboard is no longer recognized and in the Device Manager I see this: "Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)" with a device status of "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43) A request for the USB device descriptor failed."
I have tried moving this to other USB ports and tried another computer (same OS version and patching) and can see the error there as well. I have tried setting dipswitch 4 to "ON" and resetting the keyboard but this did not help. I also changed the USB-C cable but that did not help either.
The keyboard has sat on my desk without incident (no liquid or solid spills, no drops, etc) and I am looking for a fix.. Anyone else experience this?

Hello @Allen Jones I'm sorry to hear about that. I haven't heard any issues with windows updates, to me this sounds more like a hardware issue (with the cable or port on the keyboard).
Please open a support ticket with us by emailing us info@wasdkeyboards.com we can help you walk through some more troubleshooting and fix your issue.
Thank you.
